Forgot to mention this, but I'm too lazy to go back in and edit my last post. Plus, this has a snappy title.
Under the Tory plan around faith-based schools, they would be introduced in the third year of their mandate. How convenient.
Scenario 1: Faith-based schools are a hit (this is also known as the "Snowball's Chance" scenario), the Conservatives can proclaim their amazing insight and inclusiveness.
Scenario 2: Faith-based schools are a horrendous failure (this is also known as the "Told you so" scenario), the Conservatives lose the next election and leave the new government to tell about 60,000 kids that they're boned.
Scenario 3: Faith-based schools are a horrendous failure (this final one is also known as the "I Know Nuttink!" scenario), the Conservatives blame everybody else, blame the opposition for the hurdles they put up to a successful implementation, explain that they can't possibly meet everyone's needs, and call it all leadership.
