Cito's Back, Tell A Friend

Two World Series titles in the nineties, in the nineties, in the nineties
Two World Series titles in the nineties, in the nineties, in the nineties

Guess who's back, back again
Cito's back, tell a friend
Guess who's back, guess who's back,
guess who's back, guess who's back,
guess who's back, guess who's back,
guess who's back...

They've created a monsta,
Nobody wants to see Gibby no more - they want Cito - John's chopped liver.
Well, if you want Cito, this is what I'll give ya
A little bit of Gene mixed with some Nick Leyva

...and, et cetera. Crap, I didn't realize how long that song was.

Welcome back to the helm of the Toronto Blue Jays, Clarence Edwin Gaston. Granted, it's purely a face-saving move by JP Ricciardi in an attempt to extend his life in Toronto by another year, but Cito is the longest-tenured manager in Jays history, not to mention those two little trophies he picked up in 1992 and 1993. He hasn't managed a Major League ballclub in 11 years, and he's brought back coaches from the glory days, so we'll see how well he fits in, but he was very well-liked by his players the first time around, so why not now? Ultimately, something had to be done, seeing as John Gibbons getting thrown out of ballgames was no longer really motivating his club.

So, welcome back, Cito, let's see if you can turn this team around like you did in 1989.
