Funny What Can Happen When You're Bored

In my new job, I've been granted access to the internet and a great deal of free time. As a result, I look up random stuff. In this random walking, I came across this quote from former Harvard University president Charles William Eliot:

Well, this year I'm told the [baseball] team did well because one pitcher had a fine curve ball. I understand that a curve ball is thrown with a deliberate attempt to deceive. Surely this is not an ability we should want to foster at Harvard.

Wow, imagine if the most devious baseball issue today was a good curveball.
